There’s an interesting moan I hear more often that not when trying to find jobs in Ireland. It is this, ‘how do I get recruiters to come to me?’ What’s interesting is that recruiters do want and indeed need to find you – here are 5 tips to ‘Get Hunted’

- Social networking profiles Linkedin, Facebook and Zoominfo are some of the most popular networking tools and during a time where recruiters are hungry to find the best talent they will often look to these resources as a means to find you. Linkedin is one of the recruiters favourite tools as it focuses on your professional profile.
- Create your own websiteRecruiters are having to get smarter regarding how they find their talent. One of the easiest ways to find people is simply typing a description into Google. Guess what? If you have a website describing yourself and presenting your CV you’ll probably get found. In addition, there is no excuse. Today anyone with a PC can create their own website promoting their skills and services. So since your reading this article I’m presuming that this is possible. What do you have to do? Well essentially you are putting your CV out on the internet for anyone to find. You could publish references there and show off your professional work. What’s stopping you getting started? (example links to webcreation tools) You can even go one step further and start an Google adwords campaign.
- Put an advert in an appropriate paper.Now this may seem a bit maverick but it’s not, it’s just the old fashioned way.
- Spend hours on the internet visiting recruitment agencies websites and submitting your cv.Time is the most valuable thing we have and spending hours submitting your CV to various agencies can by a tiring process. If you are going to do this then we would suggest honing in on recruiters in your industry of field.
