mpany Info: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sonographer to join this large organisation and take on a role with a high degree of autonomy. The successful candidate will be a flexible and ambitious professional with excellent time management skills. This post will involve working from a number of different sites and working independently, therefore we are seeking a confident professional who wishes to develop management skills and grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
Set, maintain and promote a high standard of sonography and patient care.
Maintain a high degree of clinical expertise, ensuring awareness of current developments in medical imaging and that best practice is of the highest priority.
Act as a role model and clinical expert to facilitate the development of others through education and example.
Support the GM in the implementation and maintenance of an education and training programme for all team members.
Actively participate in the professional development of all staff.
Support the GM in ensuring that imaging practice standards are monitored and kept current, to maintain a high quality service.
Facilitates assessment of work practices, identifying areas of change required, implementation of change and evaluation of effectiveness via clinical audit.
Proactively support colleagues in implementing innovative practice, where appropriate.
Researche, summarize and analyze information; calculates statistics and compiles data to prepare relevant management information, as required.
Assist in the implementation of new policies, procedures or practices impacted by decisions made by CEO, Directors, GM or the external health economy.
Serves as liaison to all, staff, patients, outside suppliers and the public concerning information or complaints.
Support the GM in the recruitment and selection of staff, as required.
May supervise, monitor or coordinate the activities of subordinates.
Maintain accurate records of equipmentservice, maintenance, malfunction, downtime and performance as required and co-ordinates preventative maintenance schedules in accordance with clinical demand.
Requirements:
Degree/diploma in Radiography.
Validation with the Department of Health and Children Ireland (or in process).
