mpany Info: A vacancy has arisen for a confident radiographer, experienced in a wide range of general radiography procedures to join this friendly team of 5 and provide an efficient, professional and friendly radiology service for the hospital. This purpose-built, acute care, general hospital has an excellent reputation for high standards of patient care and quality of service. The successful candidate will be an energetic and friendly professional who is dedicated to providing the highest possible standards of care.
Responsibilities:
· Carry out X-ray examinations ensuring high professional and technical standards at all times.
· Ensure that the service to patients is always professional and efficient.
· Liaise with all hospital staff to ensure excellent patient care and smooth running of the department and hospital.
· Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
· Assist in the maintenance, organising, monitoring and development of the Radiology service.
· Actively participate in staff development/training such as quality assurance and appraisals and attend mandatory training sessions.
· Maintain concise relevant imaging records for each patient in an intelligent and legible manner.
· Perform duties in accordance with hospital Health & Safety policy to secure safe work practices.
· Report equipment malfunction to the Imaging Manager and in her absence contact the engineer direct.
· Adhere to the code of practice for Ionising Radiation and the local rules for Radiation Safety.
· Comply with departmental procedures and routines.
· Know and if necessary, act on the procedures in the event of fire emergency.
· Assist the Imaging Manager in continuous quality improvement.
· Ensure X-ray equipment and accessories are kept clean and tidy.
· Undertake other such duties as may be delegated from time to time.
Requirements:
- HPC Radiography Registration.
- Ideally have at least 2 years postgraduate experience within general radiography, fluoroscopy and theatre imaging.
- Confidence to work independently if required.
