As part of the continued growth into new markets our client is seeking an experienced web application designer with a proven track record in designing functionally rich web applications. The right person for the job must be enthusiastic, relish the challenge of working in a fluid and dynamic environment and be capable of managing all aspects of the design process. Experience in creating web applications rather than websites is a requirement along with experience capturing user requirements, story boarding, visual design and HTML mock-ups. Primary
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the business development team to understand user requirements
Create user storyboards and provide a high level design of the application
Compliment user storyboards with wire-frames or visual mock-ups
Create detailed HTML mock-ups and prototypes
Work closely with the product development team to assist in the delivery of the application Required
Skills and Experience:
At least four years experience designing functionally rich web applications
Good communication and documentation skills
Experience creating user storyboards and other methods to document user requirements
Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and general principles of web application design
Ability to create wire-frames, visual mock-ups and HTML prototypes
Preferred but not Essential:
An good understanding of the entire process to design and develop web applications
Some basic PHP knowledge
Experience with layouts, fonts and colours
