Company Info A dynamic and innovative geotechnical company with offices in Ireland, UK and the Middle East, who are looking to recruit Senior Geotechnical Design Engineers for their London and Dublin offices. Our client is a management, engineering and development consultancy serving the public and private sectors world-wide. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and assisting junior engineers and a play a key role in the business. They offer long-term skill set and career development opportunities working on high-profile and challenging projects. Projects will include industrial, commercial, institutional developments and road, rail and infrastructure.  This role would suit an individual seeking a challenging and exciting career in a company that is at the forefront of development in this sector

Responsibilities:

 

  • Preparation of geotechnical desk studies

     

  •  From foundation and earthwork, to site and soil investigations, your contribution will be vital

     

  • Planning, implementation, managing and reporting on ground investigations

     

  • Design of cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, and foundations

     

  • Managing project specific teams of engineers involved in the design of foundations and substructures

     

  • Slope stability and earthworks assessments

     

  • Report production and project management will be required

     

  • Assisting the Technical Director to manage the overall team

     

·         Acting as a coach and mentor

 

·         Liaising with clients

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

  • Relevant degree required

     

  • A Chartered or near Chartered member of a professional institute

     

  • Ideally 6 years plus experience of  broadly based experience of geotechnical engineering design

     

  • You will have excellent knowledge of UK design codes, standards, specifications, and geotechnical design solutions

     

  • Be able to write well, and be confident in presentations

     

  • Have strong IT skills, including practical knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS applications

     

  • Must be technically excellent

     

  • Possess good business development skills and commercial awareness

     

  • Have excellent leadership, motivation and communication skills
