Co mpany Info: Whatever you’re looking for, the coastal county of Norfolk has it all!  From the vibrant city life of Norwich which was shortlisted to be the City of Culture in 2013, to the hustle and bustle of market towns.  Norfolk is rich in music and the arts and in July it is a hive of activity playing host to the Worstead music and arts festival.  For those opting for the quieter life Norfolk offers ample outdoor activities ranging from sailing, fishing, cycling, walking, historical and architectural tours to name but a few.  A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Cardiac Physiologist to form part of an experienced team.  Experience of both invasive and non-invasive cardiology would be advantageous and the successful candidate shall ideally be competent in ECHO, however, training will be offered to the right candidate.  Contrast and bubble studies, 24 hour monitoring respiratory and tape function testing, exercise testing and blood pressure monitoring will all be part of the post.  A highly attractive remuneration, benefits and annual leave awaits the successful candidate.

 

 

 

Responsibilities: 
 

 

  • Perform a broad range of routine cardiology procedures including ECG recording, application and removal of ambulatory ECG & BP recorders, event recorders, operation of Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT) equipment, arrhythmia analysis, Tilt Table Testing (TTT) and ECG.

     

  • Perform a broad range of complex specialised cardiology procedures, which may include right & left heart catheterisation, supervision of physiologist led ETT including Rapid Access Angina Clinic, supervision of physiologist led TTT, echocardiography and trans-oesophageal echocardiography (TOE).

     

  • Produce reports which provide accurate independent evaluation & interpretation of diagnostic information to Consultants & medics of all grades & General Practitioners including independent reporting of echocardiograms.

     

  • Responsible for arranging the work activity within a specialist service ensuring they comply with locally and nationally agreed protocols and procedures (i.e. development of protocols and developing the service for trans-oesophageal echocardiography).

     

  • Assist in the evaluation of medical equipment.

     

  • Day to day supervision of Assistant Technical Officers, Cardiac Physiologists and trainee Cardiac Physiologists who are involved with the provision of Cardiology services.

     

  • Ensure work activity data collected is accurate and timely.

     

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

  •  H.Tec. in MPPM or B.Sc. Clinical Physiology.

     

  •  ASCT, MSCT, ILS, BLS and RCCP registration are an advantage.
