An energetic and passionate Cardiac Physiologist is sought by the Cardiac team in this state-of-the-art department. The ideal candidate will work in invasive and non-invasive procedures which shall include: ECHO, Holter monitoring, Blood pressure monitoring, Stress testing, ECG, Cath lab (including EP) and pacemakers. The successful candidate will be offered a very attractive and competitive package including salary, bonus, pension and generous annual leave.
Responsibilities:
· Working as part of the team performing diagnostic tests and providing technical assistance to senior physiologist during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
· To perform ambulatory monitoring, including 24hr Holter and long term event recorders and BP monitoring, ensuring the appropriate device is used and precise application for optimum recordings.
· Perform a broad range of routine cardiology procedures including ECG recording, application and removal of ambulatory ECG & BP recorders, event recorders, operation of Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT) equipment, arrhythmia analysis, Tilt Table Testing (TTT) and ECG.
· To download ambulatory monitors, perform analysis of results using local protocols, and taking appropriate actions where necessary
· Preparation and calibration of pressure transducers/monitors and ECG monitoring system within the Cardiac Catheterisation laboratory, trouble shooting as necessary.
· Interrogate, analyse and programme pacemakers during physiologist led follow up clinics
· To be aware of the current advances in Cardiology practice and research.
· To assist less experienced or junior staff to develop their professional skills.
· To use clinical skills to assess a patient’s condition and in the light of the results of the investigation performed, seek and initiate any necessary intervention as required.
Requirements:
· Bsc. Clinical Science or equivalent
· BLS certification
· ASCT part I and II
· Experience with pacing and Cath. Lab desirable
