WE ARE URGENTLY LOOKING FOR CARDIAC Physiologist!
A number of exciting opportunities have arisen within our organisation for Cardiac Physiologists located throughout the UK. The ideal candidates will work in invasive and non-invasive procedures which shall include: ECHO, Holter monitoring, Blood pressure monitoring, Stress testing, ECG, Cath lab (including EP) and pacemakers.The successful candidate will be offered a very attractive and competitive.
Responsibilities to Include:
Perform a broad range of routine cardiology procedures including ECG recording, application and removal of ambulatory ECG & BP recorders, event recorders, operation of Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT) equipment, arrhythmia analysis, Tilt Table Testing (TTT) and ECG.
Perform a broad range of complex specialised cardiology procedures, which may include right & left heart catheterisation, supervision of physiologist led ETT including Rapid Access Angina Clinic, supervision of physiologist led TTT, pacemaker implantation & physiologist led follow up clinic, echocardiography and trans-oesophageal echocardiography (TOE).
Produce reports which provide accurate independent evaluation & interpretation of diagnostic information to Consultants & medics of all grades within the Trust & General Practitioners including independent reporting of echocardiograms
Provide information for the development of protocols & procedures within Cardiology.
Responsible for arranging the work activity within a specialist service ensuring they comply with locally and nationally agreed protocols and procedures (i.e. development of protocols and developing the service for trans-oesophageal echocardiography)
Assist in the evaluation of medical equipment.
Day to day supervision of Assistant Technical Officers, Cardiac Physiologists and trainee Cardiac Physiologists who are involved with the provision of Cardiology services.
Ensure work activity data collected is accurate and timely.
Take every reasonable opportunity to maintain/improve professional knowledge and competence
·Use and maintain information systems
·Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained and disclose this information only to authorised officers
·Ensure all associated clerical duties are performed and to participate in these duties as appropriate including the input of clinical reports/results which have been either personally produced or generated by other clinical/medical personnel.
·Keep senior staff informed of all matters which may affect the functioning of the service, including service provision and any issue relation to staff, equipment and safety.
Requirements:
H.Tec. in MPPM or B.Sc. Clinical Physiology.
ASCT, MSCT, ILS and RCCP registration are an advantage.
