Job Title: Product Engineer
Description
Responsible for product engineering new Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) based radio and microwave frequency modules. Responsible for product engineering new Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) based radio and microwave frequency modules.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist circuit designers to characterise the RF performance of new products and troubleshoot both DC and RF circuit problems.
  • Design new application circuits, prototype boards and test fixtures to be used in the evaluation of discrete Field Effect Transistors (FETs), RF Integrated Circuits (RFICs), MMICs and Modules.
  • Design, prototyping and qualification of high frequency electronic packages.
  • Assist with product qualification (including space standards), characterisation over environmental extremes and lifetime evaluation.
  • Utilise failure analysis and circuit design verification skills to troubleshoot product returns.
  • Approve production test strategy, tests and test limits. use and adapt test software for automated test equipment.
  • Review and approve operations test data.
  • Assist in solving manufacturing test issues, analysis of yield and initiate yield enhancement measures.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or other technical discipline with hands on knowledge of RF & microwave electronics.
  • A minimum of 3 years technical experience in the field of RF & microwave electronics. candidates should ideally be familiar with standard microwave measurement techniques for S-parameters, Noise Figure, Intermodulation Distortion and Adjacent Channel Power Rejection etc.
  • Ability and willingness to make visits as necessary to interface with overseas manufacturing and test contractors.
