About the Job Applications support and technical sales for Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) and MMIC based modules.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide applications and sales support for clients Broadband and clients Asia's range of MMICs and MMIC based Module products.
Undertake additional component characterisation necessary to support customer requests and allow integration into customer designs.
Use measured device data to write datasheets and application notes to assist customers where required.
Work with our Asia operation to monitor the measured performance of production devices.
Transfer the production build of devices from the Belfast design centre to Asia or an external sub-contractor.
Implement modifications to existing standard products and evaluation boards, fixtures etc in order to satisfy customer requirements.
Act as technical sales resource to support Broadband and Asia's regional sales through customer visits to gain new design wins and provide after sales support to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Work closely with a product development team in solving customer technical problems.
Work closely with marketing in ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of product information to customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or other technical discipline with a hands on knowledge of RF & microwave electronics.
A minimum of 3 years technical experience in the field of RF & microwave electronics with an interest in focusing on application support and technical sales.
Prior experience and a successful track record as Applications Engineer will be a plus.
Candidates should be familiar with standard microwave measurement techniques to obtain S-Parameters, Noise Figure and power spectrum measurements.
Ability and willingness to make customer visits within the region.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Proficiency in English and local languages in the region.
